Important Notices
- Virginia Tech has not opted to implement the payroll tax deferral for social security tax at this time. Social Security tax (6.2%) will continue to be withheld as normal for Fall 2020. Any changes will be published in the VT News and updated on our website.
- At this time, the Controller’s Office will continue to remain operational with modifications to ensure the health of our students, faculty, and staff. Effective March 23, 2020, we are temporarily transitioning to offering virtual services. We are canceling foot traffic in our office as we continue to serve the campus community by email, telephone, Zoom meetings, Google dropbox, etc..
- You will find temporary adjustments to our work processes that support social distancing in the March 20, 2020, Ledger article.
- We want to assure you that our team is continuing critical operations, which includes processing payroll, processing invoices, and reimbursing employees.
