1. Open the Employee -> Edit screen and double-click on the employee's name
  2. Click on the Jobs tab
  3. Verify that the applicable job code has a check mark under Clockable
  4. If it does not, verify that the Banner Start Date is not in the future (either on PWIEMPV or your PAF if it has not yet been approved)
  5. If the job code should be clockable, double-click on the job code to edit
  6. Check the box "Code is clockable" and click Ok
  7. Click the Save button
  1. It sounds like the employee is using an Apple device and Safari browser, which does not support TCP pop-up windows
  2. The employee needs to download Firefox or Google Chrome
  3. If the employee has issues with the Chrome download, TCP will still work by selecting the "Remote Desktop Site" from the Options menu (the 3 bars)
  1. First, should the employee be clocking in/out or entering hours using the TSE method?
  2. If he should be clocking in, advise him to use the Clock In button, not the TSE button
  3. If he should be using TSE, it needs to be enabled on his job code
    1. Open the Employee->Edit screen and double-click on the employee's name
    2. Click on the Jobs tab
    3. Double-click on the applicable job code
    4. Check the box under Settings that says "Allow the use of this code for client time sheet entry" and click Ok
    5. Click the Save button
  1. Using cost codes needs to be fully set up by Payroll
  2. Send an email to timeclock@vt.edu providing the employee ID, job code, and org number
  3. Indicate that the employee should or should not have cost codes enabled
