Department Business Management Guide

The Department Business Management Guide was created to provide a summary reference guide for department heads to outline the basic administrative duties and responsibilities of this role. The focus of this guide is on minimum standards for good business practices that are necessary to establish an adequate system of internal accounting controls and effectively comply with university policies and procedures and applicable federal and state laws and regulations. It is an integral part of the university response to recurring audit comments from APA and internal auditors related to departmental failures to follow university policies and procedures to adequately prevent theft and fraud.
